CHECKING THE BATTERIES
Open the Lens Shield before checking the batteries.

In the following cases, the batteries should be replaced
with new ones.
* When you cover the Photocell with your finger and press
the Shutter Release Button halfway down, the Flash Unit
does not pop up.

* Wherr the Shutter cannot be released with the Lens
Shield opened.
* When the Flash Ready Lamp takes more than 30 seconds
to light up.
* When the motorized Film Advance or Rewind does not
operate.
* If the batteries have been in the camera for more than
one year, they should be replaced. Even if the camera
has not been used, batteries lose their charge with age.
