6-3 PictBridge Direct-printing Functions and Features
PictBridge allows customer easily to print images captured by DSC without PC. PictBridge includes a
wide range of functions, however the particular functions available will depend on the individual device
specifications.
6-4 Basic Function for PictBridge
PictBridge products are capable of performing the following basic required functions.
Connecting DSC to printer
Customer can connect a PictBridge DSC to PictBridge printer with a USB cable. Direct connection
established regardless of brand without having to install software.
Single image printing
The button controls can be used to print immediately an image displayed on DSC LCD display.
Error message
If an error occurs during printing, error message appears on the LCD screen or the corresponding
function of DSC.
Numerous other useful functions are also provided (e.g., printing multiple images (N-up print and index
print), specifying the number of print copies, printing trimmed images, specifying print size, displaying
print status).
Remarks: Trade name of “PictBrige” is registered by Canon Inc. Please doesn’t use this name for
product name.
6-5 Featured Function
Other numerous, useful functions are also provided for PictBridge. If the DSC has the same functions
as below, these functions are available.
Remarks:
-Applicable camera models are various in countries.
-Make sure what functions a DSC supports in advance. Only functions, which the DSC supports, are
available
