Main Unit Layout - 2
 The carriage unit contains
the print head units, and
sensors for monitoring ink
level, registration, and gap
between print head and
paper.
 The air release solenoid
purges air from the ink
supply system.
 The maintenance unit cleans
the print heads on the
bottom of the carriage unit.
 Two motors and three
sensors control the print
head cleaning cycle.
 The ink supply unit contains
the ink cartridges and ink
pumps that supply ink to
each print head.
