• Dirty exposure glass
• The contact image sensor is broken.
Action
1. Clean the exposure glass of the image sensor.
2. Replace the image sensor.
Possible Cause (Printer)
• The thermal head or the platen roller is not in the correct position.
• The thermal head is defective.
Action:
1. Check if the thermal head and the platen roller are in the correct position.
2. Replace the thermal head.
