I Troubleshooting
Problem
The door
of
SmartLab
SE
cannot be opened.
An
error occurs during
SmartLab Studio
II
startup.
SmartLab SE startup
procedure fails to complete
properly.
The goniometer stops
abruptly during measurement
or other operation.
The X-ray generator stops
during measurement
or
other
operations.
Remedy
The door may be locked. Confirm that the Door-Lock indicator is
lighting up in green. Click the door lock button
of
the Smart Lab Studio
II
to unlock the door, then you can open the door.
There may be a problem in the connection between SmartLab
SE
and
the controller. Confirm that the Power-On indicator is
li
ghting up, and
the Alarm indicator is turning off. Also confirm that the connectors are
appropriately connected.
After checking these items, shut down SmartLab Studio
II
, then restart
it. When restarting SmartLab SE as well, be sure to restart SmartLab
Studio

The goniometer may have stopped due to excessive force applied to the
theta_ s
or
thet
a_
d arm. Turn the power key
on
the front panel to OFF to
stop SmartLab
SE
. Check the arms to see
if
any item obstructs their
operation,
th
en restart SmartLab SE.
In
the SmartLab Studio
II
, click System Status in the Utility tab, the part
name where the alarm has been generated will be displayed in red.
Check the cause.
