What to do if Riken Keiki Gas Detectors reading rises and remains unchanged?
- NnicolefosterAug 5, 2025
If the reading rises (or drops) and remains unchanged, and a gas alarm is triggered despite the absence of a gas leak, it might be due to sensor zero or span drift. Try performing zero calibration or span adjustment. It could also be caused by interference gases; check for these and take appropriate action. Slow leakage of the target gas may also be the cause, so take the same action as for gas alarms. Environmental fluctuations or noise effects can also cause this issue. In such cases, turn off the power and restart. If similar symptoms recur frequently, take appropriate measures to address the noise source.
