- Install the front half-formers 9.11 - 9.14 together with the jig
strips and reinforcements 9.15 - 9.17 as described for the
rear hull section, align them with the help of the slotted for-
ward deck panel 9.18 and glue them in place.
- Note that the bulkheads 9.13 and 9.14 are not symmetrical.
Glue the packing pieces 9.19 to the reinforcements.
- Glue the reinforcing strips 9.20 in place. Glue the former
9.21 in place.
- Sand back the front flange above the tunnel to a smooth
harmonious shape. Cut out the zig-zag teeth for the bottom
net saw.
- Place the front hull section against the centre hull section
and glue the parts together.
- At the same time apply glue to the edges which butt
together. Remove the spacer tube 1.7

- Push two bearing rivets 10.1 into either side of the front hull
section. Insert the square shaft 10.2 and pack it up with the
block K plus an extra 1 mm. Insert two more bearing rivets
in the front bar 10.3 and sand them back flush on the outsi-
de (F).
- Position the bars with the help of the connecting rod 10.4.
Align the shaft carefully and glue the front bar and the bea-
ring rivets 10.1 in place using Stabilit Express.
- Cut down the lever 10.5 as shown and fit the collet 10.6 and
grubscrew 10.7 into it.
- Solder the pushrod 10.9 in the clevis 10.8.
- Fit the collets 10.11 and grubscrews 10.12 in the front
hydroplanes 10.10.
- Fit these assemblies on the shaft in turn. When threading
the pushrod into position fit the small guide former 10.13 on
it at the same time, but do not glue it yet. The pushrod
should be routed through the 12 mm ø holes in the half-for-
mers and deck bulkheads and should end aft of the conning
tower bulkhead.
- Tighten all the grubscrews. Remove the slot mask. Remove
the slot mask and fit a screwdriver through the opening to
tighten the screw 10.7
