assembly through the small guide former 10.13 and the hole
in the front cover 3.1.
- Tape the tubular rivet 1.5 to the base frame. Push the short
guide rivet 12.10 into place, but again do not glue it yet.
- Slide the base frame into the pressure vessel.
- Use a long allen key to screw the sections of the boat
together temporarily.
- When you are satisfied that you are able to assemble the
boat correctly, undo the screw connection, withdraw the
base frame and apply Stabilit-Express to the top of the tubu-
lar rivet 1.5 only.
- Assemble the boat again carefully and leave the glued joint
to harden fully. Place the guide bulkead in position and
check that the lever 10.5 is not obstructed in his movement.
- Glue the two guide formers 10.13 and 12.9 to the front half-
formers in such a way that the tube in the central screw
assembly fits easily (i.e. not tightly) in the front hull section.
- Undo the screwed joint, withdraw the base frame and apply
more glue round the tubular rivet 1.5 and the guide rivet
12.10 to reinforce the joints.
- Stretch the O-ring 12.11 slightly and slide it onto the rear
cover. Attach the O-ring to the contact surface of the cover
with very small quantities of cyano.
- Place the anchor 12.12 in the anchor hawse and mark the
shaft at a point where it projects by about 5 mm on the insi-
de. Shorten the shaft and glue it in place using Stabilit-
Express.
- Fit the guide plates over the pushrods and glue them to the
bulkheads to prevent the pushrods flexing.

Stage 13, the main deck, parts 13.1 - 13.4
Part No. Description Material Size in mm No. off Notes
13.1 Reinforcing plate ABS 3 x 41 x 63 1 Die-cut, B
13.2 Reinforcing plate ABS 3 x 25 x 27,5 1 Die-cut, B
13.3 Rivet nut Brass M2 2
13.4 Cross-girder ABS 1.5 x 10 1 Overlength
- Glue the two reinforcing plates 13.1 and 13.2 for the guns
to the underside of the main deck 2.16 (F).
- Drill 3.3 mm ÿ holes in the plates and deck and pull the rivet
nuts 13.3 into them from the underside.
- Cut the two cross-girders 13.4 to length of 70 and 45 mm
and glue them to the underside of the deck. File out the front
girder for the pushrod 10.9.
- Note: do not sand back the projecting part of the deck in the
area of the large forward flooding slots. This area will be fil-
led later to form a wave-break.
- The main deck can now be glued to the boat using Stabilit-
Express. To do this apply glue evenly but sparingly to the
support surfaces and bulkheads. Place the deck on the
model, set it flush at the rear edge and centre it according
to the centreline „M“.
- Tape the deck in place to prevent it shifting. Take care to
press down evenly on all the joint surfaces.
- Drill the holes for the railing stanchions with the help of the
angle template WS, drilling (2.2 mm ø) at an angle through
the joint flange of the hull sections.
- Fill the projecting area between the hull and deck in the
area of the „front gun / conning tower“ to form a concave
wavebreak.
- All joint lines and transition areas can now be made good
with filler and rubbed down flush.
