How to troubleshoot no communication and sound on RocketFish Extender?
    • A
      Abigail JenningsJul 30, 2025
If there is no communication between the Rocketboost sender and receiver devices and there is no sound, ensure the power indicators on both devices are lit steadily. If they're blinking, consult the “Establishing communication” section on page 21. Also, if the joining process fails, ensure only one Rocketboost device has the Hub switch enabled, indicated by a green power indicator (non-hub devices have a blue indicator). Check the volume level of audio sources connected to the sender, verify all audio cables are correctly connected, and confirm the audio source connected to your sender is turned on. Finally, check that the sender or receiver devices are not muted; a blinking Rx indicator light indicates muting.

Why is there sound interference with my RocketFish Extender?
    • E
      Emily WaltonAug 9, 2025
If you are experiencing sound interference with your Rocketboost devices: * Try different locations or orientations for your sender device. * Ensure your sender is at least 18 inches away from any Wi-Fi routers. * Reduce the distance between the Rocketboost devices, keeping in mind that the maximum distance of 150 feet (45 m) is reduced by walls or obstructions. * Identify potentially interfering devices like cordless phones, microwaves, or wireless routers by turning them off one at a time. * If a cordless phone or wireless router is the issue, try changing its channel by referring to its owner's manual.

What to do if RocketFish Extender remote volume control is not working?
    • N
      Natalie LittleSep 12, 2025
If your Rocketboost remote isn't controlling the volume, first, try replacing the battery with a new one. Also, ensure that you've removed the insulation sheet from the battery tray. If the issue persists and you have a RF-RBAUX sender/receiver, note that volume controls are not supported and the volume can be controlled at the amplifier or powered speaker connected to the sender/receiver. To maximize volume, make sure your source devices (A/V receiver, iPod, etc.) are set to at least 50% of their volume level.
