1. Installing Rear Wheels
Gently slide wheel over axle as shown.
Do not force wheels onto axle. It is
recommended to lubricate axles with light
grease before installing. Install cotter pins
and bend ends outward.
2. Installing Front Swivel Casters
Attach front swivel casters as shown. While tightening lock nuts, grip
bearing cap with channel lock pliers or pipe wrench to prevent threaded
stem from turning. Tighten lock nuts rmly, but not excessively tight.
Check lock nut tightness on caster stems periodically.

Operating Your Rock N Roller Multi-Cart

Short Furniture Dolly

Extend to 4-wheel hi-stacker mode. Pull top release cable, lower top foldable side.

Storage-Transport

Place cart on end, loosen wingbolts, push extension stop button, push down to compact.

Push down release cable, raise foldable side until it locks upright.

Short Hi-Stacker

Raise both sides as previously described for the short platform cart configuration.

Long Platform Cart

Set short hi-stacker on 2 large wheels, loosen wingbolts, pull frame upward until button engages.

Function Description:

The Multi-Cart is primarily designed to transport equipment and other loads efficiently. Its key feature is its ability to transform into eight different configurations, adapting to various load sizes and types. This adaptability makes it suitable for a wide array of tasks, from moving short furniture to acting as a long platform cart or a hi-stacker. The cart's design emphasizes ease of use, with mechanisms for extending the frame and raising foldable sides that allow for quick and intuitive transformations. The cart is engineered to distribute loads evenly, especially in its extended 4-wheel dolly configuration, to facilitate easier rolling.

Usage Features:

The Multi-Cart offers a multitude of usage configurations, each tailored for specific tasks:

• Short Furniture Dolly: In this mode, the cart is placed on all four wheels with its sides folded down. It's ideal for moving short furniture, with a recommendation to distribute the load evenly over the frame bed, placing heavier items over the large rear wheels for smoother rolling.
• Long Nose Luggage Cart: To achieve this configuration, the cart is extended into a 4-wheel hi-stacker mode. It is then set on one end, and the top release cable is pulled to lower the top foldable side. This is useful for transporting luggage or similar items.
• Storage-Transport: For compact storage or transport, the cart's sides are placed upright, and the cart is set on end. The wingbolts under the frame are loosened, the extension stop button is pushed in, and the frame is pushed down to achieve minimum length. The wingbolts are then retightened. To fold the handles, a specific sequence must be followed: first, push down the release cable over the large wheels with one hand and fold down that side with the other hand; second, fold the other side over the front swivel casters in the same manner. This ensures the cart folds correctly. Once folded, the cart can be stood on end for storage or placed upside down for transport in vehicles or on airport conveyor belts.
• Short Platform Cart: This configuration is achieved by firmly pushing down on the release cable located over the swivel casters with one hand while raising the foldable side with the other hand until the side locks into place in an upright position. This creates a flat platform for carrying items.
• Short Hi-Stacker: Both sides of the cart are raised as described for the short platform cart, creating a hi-stacker configuration suitable for taller loads.
• Long Platform Cart: To create a long platform cart, the short hi-stacker configuration is used, and the cart is set on two large wheels (upright). The two wingbolts are loosened, the frame is pulled upward until the button engages, and then the wingbolts are retightened. The cart is then set back on all four wheels, providing an extended flat platform.
• Long Hi-Stacker: This configuration involves raising the folded handle of the long platform cart, allowing for the transport of very tall items.
• Long Platform Cart (from Long Hi-Stacker): From the long hi-stacker configuration, the side over the large wheels is folded down first, followed by the side over the swivel casters, returning it to a long platform cart.

When operating the Multi-Cart on a hill or incline, it is crucial to set the brake. For very heavy loads, blocking the wheels is recommended. Over rough terrain, pushing the cart with the large wheels forward is advised for better stability and control.

Maintenance Features:

The Multi-Cart is designed for durability, but like any equipment, normal maintenance is required to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

• Wheel Installation: When installing the rear wheels, they should be gently slid over the axle. Forcing them onto the axle should be avoided. Lubricating the axles with light grease before installation is recommended to facilitate smoother operation and prevent wear. Cotter pins should be installed and their ends bent outward to secure the wheels.
• Caster Installation: When attaching the front swivel casters, it is important to grip the bearing cap with channel lock pliers or a pipe wrench to prevent the threaded stem from turning while tightening the lock nuts. The lock nuts should be tightened firmly but not excessively. Periodically checking the lock nut tightness on the caster stems is recommended to ensure they remain secure during use.
• General Care: Caution should always be exercised to avoid pinching or striking fingers during assembly. Care should also be taken to avoid metal burrs inside the tubing, which could potentially cause issues.
