The ROFU BKC-5000B is a Bluetooth Access Control Keypad designed for secure entry management. It combines traditional keypad access with modern Bluetooth smartphone control, offering a versatile solution for various applications.

Function Description:

The primary function of the BKC-5000B is to provide controlled access to a secured area. Users can gain entry through multiple methods:

• Bluetooth Smartphone: The device can be unlocked or logged into using the ROFU B5000 APP on a smartphone when within a 50-meter (164 ft) range. The app allows for administrator and user logins, settings adjustments, and user management.
• Keypad Passcode: After login (if required), users can enter a numerical passcode followed by '#' to unlock the door.
• Proximity Card/Key Fob: The device supports EM 125KHz proximity cards and key fobs for quick and convenient access.

The system supports one administrator and up to 200 users, including 200 proximity cards/key fobs. It features a built-in tamper alarm and buzzer (85dB) to alert against unauthorized attempts to remove or damage the device. An alarm output is also available to notify external systems when the tamper alarm is triggered. For ease of use in low-light conditions, the keypad includes overhead LEDs and backlit keys. The device maintains an audit trail, logging the last 1000 events, which can be exported for review. A security feature prevents brute-force attacks by locking down the keypad for 60 seconds if an incorrect passcode is entered three times consecutively.

Usage Features:

The ROFU B5000 APP provides comprehensive control and management capabilities:

• Administrator Login: Default Admin ID is "ADMIN" and default passcode is "12345". It is recommended to change the default passcode immediately after the first login.
• User Login: Users log in with an ID and passcode provided by the administrator.
• User Management: Administrators can add, delete, and edit user information. This includes setting user IDs (up to 16 characters), passcodes (4 to 8 digits), and assigning 10-digit card/fob codes.
• Access Types: For each user, administrators can define access types:
  • Permanent: Continuous access.
  • Temporary: Access for specific dates and time periods.
  • Number of Times: Access granted for a set number of entries (0-255).
  • Scheduled: Repeated access on specific days and hours for a certain period, useful for recurring temporary access.
• Keypad and Card/Fob Access Control: These access methods can be independently enabled or disabled for individual users.
• Device Name: The device name can be customized (e.g., model number, office, front door, gate).
• Door Sensor Integration: The device can connect to closed-circuit magnetic sensors or monitored door locks with sensor outputs to monitor the door's open/closed state.
• Lock Action: Three options are available: Door Re-lock Time (1-1800 seconds), Door Always Unlocked, and Door Always Locked.
• Tamper Alarm Activation: The tamper alarm can be activated or deactivated. If active and the device is vandalized, the alarm will sound until switched off by the administrator.
• Auto Proximity Range Adjustment: Both administrators and users can adjust the auto proximity range (0-20) for the auto-unlock function via the app. This range indicates the approximate distance between the mobile app and the keypad/reader.
• Auto Unlock Function: The "Auto" button in the app enables or disables the auto-unlock function based on proximity.
• Device Time/Firmware Version: Allows setting the device time for accurate event logging and viewing firmware version information.
• About Us: Provides device model, APP version, website, and E-Mail information.

Maintenance Features:

• Reset Procedures:
  1. Power off the Access Control Reader.
  2. Move the Pin Jumper to P2 and P3.
  3. Power on the device. A long beep indicates successful resetting.
  4. Move the Pin Jumper back to P1 and P2 (Normal setting).
  5. Log in as Admin to confirm that all users, audit trail events, and settings (except device name) have been reset to factory defaults.
• Backup and Restore Data: The administrator can back up all data to their phone and restore the last backup data to a new Access Control Keypad/Reader. Note that device name, audit trail logs, and device time are not restored.
• Audit Trail: Logs the last 1000 events, including tamper alarms, and can be exported to an Excel file for review.
