What to do if the low sounds on my Roland FP-30X are wrong or buzzy?
    • D
      Daniel DiazJul 28, 2025
If the low sounds are distorted, especially at maximum volume, try turning the volume down. If you don’t hear this in headphones, the speakers or nearby objects might be resonating due to high volumes. To minimize this, position the unit away from walls and other surfaces, reduce the volume, and move away from any resonating objects. If you hear the distortion even with headphones, there may be another issue, and you should contact your dealer or a nearby Roland service center.

Why is there a high-pitched ringing sound from my Roland Musical Instrument?
    • D
      Douglas MoranAug 2, 2025
If you hear a high-pitched ringing sound in your headphones, it may be due to the brilliant and crisp piano sounds containing high-frequency components. This effect can be more noticeable with heavy ambience. Try minimizing it by decreasing the ambience setting. If you don’t hear ringing in headphones, the reason could be resonances within the unit, so contact your dealer or the nearest Roland service center.

Why do I hear a thumping sound on my Roland FP-30X even with headphones?
    • D
      Dale BushAug 7, 2025
The keyboard of this Roland piano is designed to simulate the mechanism of an acoustic piano. Such sounds do not indicate a malfunction.

Why does the sound of the higher notes suddenly change from a certain key on my Roland Musical Instrument?
    • K
      Kathryn JonesAug 12, 2025
On an acoustic piano, the approximately one and a half octaves of notes at the upper end of the keyboard will continue sounding regardless of the damper pedal. These notes also have a somewhat different tonal character. This unit faithfully simulate this characteristic of acoustic pianos.

Why does my Roland FP-30X power turn off on its own?
    • L
      Lance GriffithAug 17, 2025
Your Roland Musical Instrument might be turning off automatically because, by default, it's set to switch off 240 minutes after you stop using it. If you want to prevent this, you can disable the “Auto Off” setting. Alternatively, if you're playing high-volume SMF or WAV data from a USB drive, the protection circuit might be activated, causing the power to turn off. If this happens, try reducing the volume.

What to do if all LEDs except the power button are blinking on my Roland FP-30X?
    • M
      Michael WellsAug 21, 2025
If all LEDs except the power button are blinking, it indicates excessive current flow at the USB Memory port. Check for any issues with the USB flash drive. Then, turn the power off and back on again.
