When
the
desired
channel
has
been
set,
press
FUNC.
The
FUNC
indicator
will
go
out
and
the
display
will
indicate
the
Tone
variation
as
before.

MIDI

it

necessary

set
the
MIDI
receive
channel
(the
channel
on
which
it
will
receive
MIDI
data).
To
set
the
Receive
channel

Press
FUNC
(the
indicator
will
light).

Press
RX
CH
(the
indicator
will
light).

Use
the
VARIATION
buttons
to
select
the
desired
MID}
channel
(ON,
1-16).
If
you
select
“ON”,
MIDI
data
will
be
received
on
a//
MIDI
channels
-
this
is
the
OMNI
mode.

details.

the
desired
channel

out
and
the
display

Change
[PGM
CHANGE]
When
the
FP-8
is
to
be
used
with
other
MIDI
devices
and
instruments,
it
may
become
desirabie
to
send
Program
Change
messages.
A
Program
Change
message
is
one
which
selects
a
different
sound
on
the
external
instrument
or
sound
module.

Use
the

to
select
the
desired
Program
Change
number
(7-128).

produces
