Sync Operation with External Devices
Start recording on receipt of timecode
If you want to start recording on receipt of timecode, operate the R-1000 as shown below. If you are selecting [SMPTE (LTC)] or
[MIDI (MTC)] as TC SOURCE, operations differ from normal recording.
1. Standby recording
Press [REC] button to make it flash.
* During normal recording, [REC] and [PLAY] will flash; when recording on receipt of timecode only [REC] will flash.

2. Standby timecode reception
Press [PLAY] button to make it flash.
* On normal recording, writing to the HDD starts when this button is pressed. But the R-1000 waits for timecode in this case and [REC]/[PLAY]
buttons continue to flash.

3. Check that recording is started
When the timecode is received, recording is started automatically. At this time, [REC] and [PLAY] will stop flashing and light
steadily. Confirm that input timecode is displayed on the panel.
