Why can't I record with my Roland R-07 Recording Equipment?
    • J
      Jonathan DiazAug 18, 2025
There are several reasons why you might not be able to record. Ensure the microSD card is correctly inserted. If the card hasn't been formatted, the display will show “SD Unformatted,” so please format it. If formatted on a computer, it might have the wrong format, as the microSD card works best when formatted on the R-07. Also, check that the recording level specified by INPUT [+] [–] isn't too low; adjust it appropriately.

Why can't I use the mic with my Roland Recording Equipment?
    • L
      Laurie HughesAug 26, 2025
If you can't use the mic, it could be due to a few reasons. The internal mics cannot be used if anything is connected to the MIC/AUX IN jack; disconnect any devices from this jack if you want to use the internal mics. If you're using a plug-in powered mic, ensure that Plug In Power is turned on. Also, note that the R-07 does not support phantom-powered mics.

Why can't I play back files on my Roland R-07?
    • K
      katherine05Aug 28, 2025
If you can't play back files, ensure the file name is assigned correctly; the R-07 cannot use files with names that begin with a “.” (period). Also, the R-07 can only play files with a file name extension of .MP3 or WAV. If the file is damaged, you might be able to recover it using the Repair function.

Why was my Roland Recording Equipment file divided unexpectedly?
    • K
      Katelyn NashAug 30, 2025
The R-07 automatically divides a file if it exceeds a specified size or if the recording level falls below a specified level. You can adjust this by setting the Split Type to specify the file size or recording level at which the file should be automatically divided.
