Overview

The Sienna Queen Bedhead is an indoor-use-only furniture item requiring full assembly. It serves as a decorative and functional headboard for a queen-sized bed.

Technical Specifications:

  • Dimensions: H 120 CM x W 160 CM x D 9.5 CM
  • Frame Materials: MDF, plywood, LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber), and polyester fabric.
  • Legs: Plastic
  • Origin: Made in Malaysia

Usage Features:

The bedhead is designed to be securely anchored to a wall or other suitable surface to prevent tipping, which is crucial for safety. The assembly process involves several steps:

  1. Preparation: Carefully remove all wrapping material, staples, and packing straps. Verify all required components (A1, B1, C2, D1, E1, F1) are present using the assembly guide. Assemble the product on a soft surface to protect its finish.
  2. Step 1 (Mounting Bracket Installation): Attach one mounting bracket (C) to the back of the bedhead (A) using a screw (E) and a washer (B). The diagram shows the bracket secured to the top edge of the bedhead.
  3. Step 2 (Wall Bracket Installation): Locate a wall stud. Attach the second mounting bracket (C) to the wall stud using a 2" screw (D) through the smaller hole. This bracket should be positioned 2 inches below the mounting bracket secured to the back of the bedhead.
  4. Step 3 (Restraint Strap Installation): Lace the end of the restraint strap (F) through the larger hole in each mounting bracket. Bring both ends of the strap together and slide the flat end through the locking end. Draw the strap through until all slack is removed, ensuring a tight and secure connection between the bedhead and the wall.
  5. Step 4 (Final Positioning): Once the bedhead is securely anchored, it can be positioned against the wall.

Safety Warnings:

  • Tipping Hazard: It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to anchor this product to prevent serious injuries or death from toppling furniture.
  • Anchoring: The product is fitted with an anchor strap/bracket. Securely attach it to a wall or other solid surface using the provided anchor straps and appropriate fixings.
  • Regular Checks: Regularly check that anchors are securely maintained.
  • Step Ladder: Do not use the bedhead as a step ladder.
  • Even Surfaces: Only use the bedhead on even surfaces.

Installation Caution (for wall anchoring):

  • Electrical Wires/Plumbing: Before drilling any holes, check for electrical wires or plumbing inside the wall. If unsure, seek professional advice from a qualified tradesperson.
  • Wall Type: Walls are constructed from different materials (e.g., masonry/solid brick, plasterboard lined cavity walls/hollow). It is crucial to use appropriate fixings for your specific wall type.
  • Professional Help: Your local hardware store can provide necessary drills and fixings and offer advice. If in doubt, engage a qualified tradesperson to install and anchor the product.
