4.3 Fault codes
Safety pressure relief
valve is leaking or always
open.
Expansion tank is defective. Ɣ Replace expansion tank.
Water quantity or water pressure in the sys-
tem is too high.
Ɣ On the controller (rotary switch setting "Info" )
check whether there is adequate water pressure
(> 0.3 bar) (must be below the stated maximum
pressure) and drain water off until it lies mid-range.
Safety pressure relief valve is stuck.
Ɣ Check safety pressure relief valve and if necessary,
replace it.
Turn the red knob on the safety pressure relief
valve counterclockwise. If you can hear a rattling
noise, the safety pressure relief valve needs
replacing.
Close the inlet and discharge stop valve if water is
continuously escaping.

Flow disruption water cir-
cuit
Water flow is too low or there is none at all, minimum water flow
required (
t12 l/min). Check the following items:
Ɣ All stop valves of the water circuit must be completely open.
Ɣ Optional water filters must not be contaminated.
Ɣ System must run within its operating parameters.
Ɣ System must be completely evacuated.
Ɣ On the controller (rotary switch setting "Info" ) check
whether there is adequate water pressure (> 0.3 bar).
Ɣ The external static pressure must correspond to the character-
istic curve in the technical data for the heat generator.
A higher pressure indicates internal resistance in the water
circuit.
Ɣ Expansion tank is defective.
Ɣ If this fault occurs during defrost operation in the operating
mode room heating or hot water supply: With optional backup
heater: check its power supply and fuses.
Ɣ In the switch cabinets of HPSU compact, check the pump
fuse (FU1) and circuit board fuse (F1).
