4.2 Malfunctions

System not working

During a switching time the user made a man-
ual setting (e.g. changed the target tempera-
ture, changed the operating mode)

Control unit does not
respond to entries
Operating system of control unit crashed.
Ɣ Carry out RESET of control unit.
Ɣ Restart system (mains voltage).
Operating data are not

Ɣ Carry out RESET of control unit.
Ɣ Restart system (mains voltage).
Ɣ Have the system checked by a ROTEX heating
technician.
Heating does not warm
up
Room heating standby switched off (e.g. time
program is in the economy phase, outside
temperature is too high, parameters for
backup heater (BUH) are set incorrectly,
requirement for hot water is active)
Ɣ Check the operating mode setting.
Ɣ Check the request parameters.
Ɣ Check the setting of time a weekday in the control
system.
Refrigerant compressor is not working.
Ɣ With installed backup heater:
Check that the backup heater (BUH) is heating the
water temperature to at least 15 °C (with a low water
temperature, the system uses the backup heater
(BUH) first to attain the minimum water temperature).
If applicable, check the power supply, thermal
protection and overheating fuse for the backup heater
(BUH).
Ɣ Have the system checked by a ROTEX heating
technician.
System is in the operating mode "cooling". Ɣ Switch the operating mode to "heating".
Settings for off-peak mains connection do not
correspond to settings for electrical connec-
tions.
Ɣ HT/NT function is active and the parameter [HT/NT
Contact] is set incorrectly.
Other configurations are also possible. However,
these must match the type of off-peak mains
connection.
Ɣ The parameter [SMART GRID] is active and the
connections are set incorrectly.
The energy supply company has sent the off-
peak rate signal.
Ɣ Wait for the repeat off-peak rate signal which reacti-
vates the power supply.
