What to do if water runs through the holes in the soleplate of my Rowenta DG5030?

If water runs through the holes in the soleplate of your Rowenta Iron, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure you're not overfilling the boiler—do not exceed 33 oz of water. Also, confirm that the iron has reached the required temperature by waiting for the temperature/steam control lights to go out before ironing. If the iron hasn't been used for a while, water may have condensed in the steam tube; hold the iron away from clothing and press the steam control button until steam is produced. Finally, check that the steam output control dial isn't set too high for the iron's temperature, especially when ironing at a low temperature (•). If the thermostat isn’t working, send the appliance to an authorized service center.
