  If the espresso is flowing too slowly from your Rowenta Coffee Maker, it could be due to a few reasons. The coffee might be too finely ground, too oily, or powdery; try using a more coarsely ground coffee. The filter holder could be dirty; clean it according to the instructions in paragraph 9.B. Finally, the water grill might be dirty; when the appliance has cooled down, clean the water grill with a damp sponge.

  If the pump on your Rowenta Coffee Maker isn't working, it could be due to a drained pump because of lack of water. Fill the water tank and restart the pump (see paragraph 5. 'FIRST USE'). Avoid emptying the water tank completely. Also, ensure the removable water tank is correctly fitted by pushing it firmly into place.

  If water flows from the filter holder after making espresso with your Rowenta Coffee Maker, make sure the selection knob is in the 'Resistor' position (fig. 7). It could also be due to premature scale formation from very hard water; descale the machine according to the instructions (paragraph 10).
