Why is my Rowenta Iron leaking?

To prevent leaks in your Rowenta Iron, avoid using 100% pure distilled water. Tap water is recommended. If you live in an area with very hard water, mix half tap water with half distilled water to reduce hardness, or use inexpensive bottled spring water. Most softened water is suitable, but switch to untreated tap water or inexpensive bottled spring water if you notice leaks or spitting. Also, try moving or gently shaking the iron, and allow more time between steam bursts.
