Plug in the appliance. Place the cup(s) under the filter-holder
Check that your electrical power supply is compatible with the
power and voltage shown on the appliance.
Only connect the appliance to a socket with built-in earth.
If the power supply cable is damaged,you must have it replaced by
the manufacturer, his product support service or a person with
similar qualification to avoid danger.
Pre-heat the cups to obtain very hot espresso coffee. Use small cups that hold no more than
50 ml.
If the lights are off and the coffee-maker does not operate, check the position of the tank.
During operation, the appliance will be pressurised: never leave it unattended
Never leave the appliance plugged in when not in use.
Your appliance is equipped with an automatic system designed to tamp down the ground
coffee and thus make coffee in the best conditions
Set the control selector to position
. The lights will come ON. When the
light goes off, position the control
selector to . The appliance's automa-
tic piston will tamp down the ground coffee
in the filter-holder.The coffee will flow after
about 15 seconds.
To stop coffee flowing and to release the
filter-holder, set the control selector to 0.
After about 10 seconds, the piston will
move up again and you can take out the fil-
ter-holder. Eject the cake of coffee grounds
by pressing the ejection control on the top
of the handle. Rinse the filter-holder.
