Thank you for buying this ROWENTA espresso coffee-maker. Please read these instructions
carefully and keep them handy.
Installation
Remove all packing, labels and various accessories both inside and around the appliance.
Place the appliance on a stable, flat, clean and cool surface.
Place the appliance and its power supply cord well behind the work surface, out of reach
of children.
Do not use the appliance on or near to slippery or hot surfaces and do not let the cord hang
down over a work top, above a source of heat (hot plates or gas rings).
Check that the water tank contains enough
water. Top up if necessary without going
over the maximum level.
Take care to put the tank back in place
against the appliance and close the lid.
Measure out the ground coffee using the
spoon provided :1 heaped spoonful for one
cup,2 flat spoonfuls for two cups. . Remove
the ground coffee remaining on the edge of
the filter-holder. Engage the filter holder
fully until you hear a click.
Making espresso coffee
Rinse the coffee-maker before using it.
Pour about 1/2 litre of water into the tank. Place a container/cup
with high enough capacity under the filter-holder. Run the applian-
ce as when making an expresso, but without ground coffee in
the filter-holder, for about 1 to 2 minutes. Also run the appliance
on steam function for about 1 to 2 minutes (see following para-
graphs).
