compares

word with

dictionaries,
and
detects
any
words which
are
not in either dictionary.
The
names
of
major
cities, abbreviations
for
the
50
states,
common
personal names,
and
commonly
used
contractions are also included in
the
American dictionary.
For
example:

Angeles,
Tokyo,
Ca., John, don't, isn't

Check
also
detects
any uncapitalized proper nouns.
For
example: canada,
chicago,
tom

Spell
Check
also detects abbreviations that
do
not
end with a period.

HOW
TO
USE SPELL CHECK
Turning Spell Check On/Off
1) Hold down
the
Margin release (SPELL)
key
and press the "
O"
(ON/OFF)
key
to
turn
on Spell Check,
and
again
to
turn Off.
Note:
If Spell
Check
was
on
when
the
typewriter
was
turned Off, it will
be
automatica
lly
turned
on
when
the
typewriter
is
turned
On
again.
Selecting
the
main dictionary
If
your
typewriter is equipped with the American keyboard,
you
can use
the
American dictionary only, and
cann
ot
select
the
French, Spanish
or
German
dictionary.

American dictionary, hold

the

right of the
