The Rozone ROwasher is a parts cleaning system designed for industrial and automotive applications, utilizing bioremediation technology to effectively remove oil and grease. This system aims to reduce hazardous waste generation and associated disposal costs, offering significant savings to users.
Function Description
The ROwasher system comprises three main components: the ROwasher machine, ROwash Cleaning Solution, and the ROwasher Microbe Filter Mat. The Filter Mat contains millions of micro-organisms (microbes) that are released into the cleaning solution. These microbes break down, or "eat," the oil and grease washed off dirty parts, converting them into harmless carbon dioxide and water. This process keeps the ROwash Cleaning Solution clean and effective for continuous use, thereby recycling the fluid and minimizing the need for hazardous waste disposal.
The cleaning fluid in the tank is heated by an internal element and circulated by a pump to the sink, where it is dispensed through a nozzle and a flo-thru brush. Maintaining the cleaning fluid at an optimal temperature (between 37°C and 42°C) is crucial for the microbes to function properly and efficiently degrade oil and grease. Solid dirt particles washed off parts are captured by a filter basket in the sink tray and the underlying ROwash Microbe Filter Mat, which traps large particles of grease, oil, and particulate matter larger than 50 microns.

Usage Features
- Ease of Use: Cleaning is a manual operation using the flo-thru brush. The pump runs for 5 minutes and then automatically switches off.
- Dual Cleaning Tools: Users can utilize both the nozzle and the flo-thru brush simultaneously for maximum cleaning efficiency.
- Safety Features:
- Requires appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety goggles and protective gloves.
- Warning symbols indicate potential hazards and mandatory compliance instructions.
- Prohibition symbols highlight actions that could lead to personal injury or material damage.
- The machine should only be operated by authorized and instructed personnel.
- Electrical equipment in the working area must be protected against spraying cleaning solution.
- Environmental Benefits: The bioremediation process significantly reduces hazardous waste, and the packaging material is recyclable. Old appliances contain valuable recyclable materials and should be disposed of through appropriate collection systems.
- Fluid Level Monitoring: A "LOW FLUID" indicator light flashes when the cleaning solution level is low, prompting the user to add 20 litres of ROwash Cleaning Solution. This also triggers the heater element to switch off to prevent temperature loss.
- Control Box Indicators: The control box features LED indicators (LED1-Fluid, LED2-Temp) and a sounder to communicate operational status and potential issues.
- Flashing Yellow LEDs with a beep indicate successful initialization.
- Solid Green LEDs indicate normal operation at 42°C (Normal Mode) with an OK liquid level.
- Solid Green (Fluid) and Solid Yellow (Temp) LEDs indicate ECO Mode at 37°C with an OK liquid level.
- Various flashing red LED patterns indicate specific problems such as low/high fluid level, no sensor response, no temperature rise, or critical liquid temperature (above 48°C).
Maintenance Features
- Daily Maintenance: Check for the "LOW FLUID" indicator light and top up with 20 litres of ROwash Cleaning Solution if flashing.
- Monthly Maintenance: Change the ROwasher Microbe Filter Mat. The old mat should be wrung out into the sink and disposed of according to local regulations for waste containing mineral oil. A new filter mat should be placed white side up onto the filter support grid.
- Yearly Maintenance: An annual maintenance check on the ROwasher is recommended. This may involve a cleanout and change of fluid, requiring the machine to be switched off and unplugged. The sink top is lifted, hose pipes disconnected, and dirty solution removed for disposal. The base unit should be rinsed/jetwashed, and the sink top replaced with connected hoses. A new Microbe Filter Mat is then installed.
- Troubleshooting Guide: A comprehensive guide is provided to diagnose issues based on LED indicators and sound, offering solutions such as checking fluid levels, sensor positions, pump connections, fuses, and replacing components like sensor units or heater elements.
- Repair and Servicing: Repair work should only be carried out by an approved Rozone Ltd Service Expert. Users are advised to wear appropriate PPE during maintenance.
- Warranty: Rozone Ltd provides a warranty covering machine appliance failures caused by faulty parts or fabrication defects within the warranty period.
- PAT Testing: The ROwasher is a Class 1 stationary machine. A minimum of 12 months is recommended for combined testing and inspection, with monthly formal visual inspections. Earth continuity and earth leakage tests are described for electrical safety checks.
Important Usage Notes:
- Only ROwash Cleaning Solution and ROwasher Microbe Filter Mat should be used to ensure proper bioremediation and maintain warranty validity.
- Do not fill the tank with solvents, flammable, or explosive liquids.
- Avoid adding large quantities of oil, petrol, engine oil, or anti-freeze agents, as this can hinder bioremediation.
- Do not clean paint brushes, painting tools, or materials containing asbestos or other hazardous substances.
- The ROwasher should not be used as a waste dump for excess grease and oil; these should be disposed of separately prior to washing.
- The machine should remain switched on at all times (including overnight and weekends) to maintain the optimal temperature for microbial activity, unless for safety reasons, moving, or servicing.
- If the machine is switched off for a considerable period and the cleaning solution cools, new microbes (via a new Filter Mat) will be needed upon restarting.
- When moving the ROwasher, unplug it, roll up the power cord, release brakes, and carefully wheel it to the new location, considering ground conditions to prevent tipping. Do not expose the appliance to rain or snow or use it in damp/wet conditions.
- Do not abuse the supply cord or hose; never use them to carry or pull the appliance. Damaged cords increase the risk of electric shock.
