TROUBLE SHOOTING
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSES
SOLUTIONS
Coffee does not dispense
from the porta-filter.
1. No water in water tank.
2. The coffee grind is too fine.
3. There is too much ground
coffee in the filter.
4. The appliance was not
turned ON or plugged in to
the wall socket.
5. Coffee has been tamped/
compressed too much.
1. Add water.
2. Replace the ground coffee
with medium ground
coffee.
3. Fill the filter with less
coffee.
4. Plug the coffee maker into
the electrical outlet and
turn it ON.
5. Refill the filter with ground
coffee but do not tamp too
much.
Coffee comes out
around the edge of
the porta-filter.
1. The porta-filter was not
rotated to full lock position.
2. There may be coffee
grounds/ grounds residue
around the rim of the filter.
3. There may be too much
coffee in the filter.
1. Rotate the filter holder to
the full lock position.
2. Wipe off the rim ensuring it
is residue and coffee
grounds-free.
3. Fill the filter with less
coffee grounds.
Milk is not foamy after
frothing.
1. The coffee maker ran out
of steam.
1. Ensure there is enough
water in the water tank.
