ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
INSTALLING AND ADJUSTING THE SHOULDER
STRAP (MODEL 310BVr ONLY)
A W ARNING: Always use the shoulder
strap when using the vacuum (Model 31 OBVr
only) to avoid serious personal injury.
NOTE: Have the shoulder strap on and adjusted, but not
clipped to the support fitting prior to starting unit.
1. P ush the strap through the center of the buckle.
2. P ull the strap over the cross bar and down through
the slot in the buckle (Fig. 14).
3. F ully extend the strap.

4. Attach the metal clip of the shoulder strap to the
support fitting on the back of the handle (Fig. 15).

5. Place the strap over your head and onto your
shoulders (Fig. 16).

6. While standing in the operating position (Fig.16)
adjust length to fit the operator’s size.
• Lengthen the strap by pulling down on the strap and
lifting the buckle end up (Fig. 17).
• Shorten the strap by pulling the strap down through
the buckle while holding the buckle (Fig. 17).
