QUICK
LOCK-RELEASE
VISE
Your
cut-off
machine
is
equipped
with
a
quick
lock-
release
vise
system
as standard equipment.
With
this
featu
re
you
are
able
to
open
and
close the
vise
quickly
without
repetitive
turning
of
the
vise
crank
handle.
USING
THE
QUICK
LOCK.RELEASE
VISE
To
loosen:
1 .
Slightly
release
tension on
the
vise by
rotating
the
crank
handle
counterclockwise
112 to
1 turn.
2.
Lift up
the
quick
lock-release
lever
(Figure
8)
and
pull
back
on crank
handle
to slide
open
the
vise.
To tighten:
1 .
Push the
crank
handle
fonrvard
to
slide
the
vise
against
the
work
piece.
2.
Push
down
on
the
quick
lock-release
lever
(Figure
B)
to engage
its threads
with vise
screw.
3.
Rotate
the crank
handle
clockwise
to
tighten
the
vise
against
the
work
Piece.
ADJUSTABLE
POSITIVE
DEPTH STOP
As
shown
in Figure
9,
the adjustable
depth
stop
is
threaded
into the
base of
the
machine
at
the
rear.
By
raising
and
lowering
the depth
stop
bolt
with
a12
mm
wrench
you
can
control
how far the
abrasive
wheel
travels
when
the
machine
handle
is depressed.
This
feature
is
particularly
useful:
.
to
increase
wheel travel
as
the abrasive
wheel
wears,
to
"cinch-up"
the
machine's
handle
against
tire
i.rarrspori
chain
when
moving
the
machine
or
during
storage,
to
limittravel
of
the abrasive
wheel,
especially
useful after
installation
of a
new abrasive
wheel.
TRANSPORT
CHAIN
The
transport chain
is attached to
the
machine base
and
machine
arm,
behind
the
motor,
and
is
only
used
for carrying
the
cut-off
machine
(Figure
9).
Also
attached
to the machine
arm
is
a
metal
hook.
To
transport
or store
the
cut-off machine,
lower the
handle
and
loop
one
of
the
chain's
links
over
the
hook.
Move
the
machine
using
the
carrying handle
(Figure
2).
