Overview

This document describes a cordless brushcutter and line trimmer, models RBC36X26B, RBC36X26E, and RBC36B26B, designed with safety, performance, and dependability as top priorities.

Function Description

The line trimmer/brushcutter is intended for outdoor use in well-ventilated areas by adults who have read and understood the manual. For safety, the product must be adequately controlled with two-handed operation. When fitted with the line trimmer head and appropriate guard, the product is used for cutting long grass, pulpy weeds, and similar vegetation at or about ground level. When fitted with the Tri-Arc™ blade and appropriate guard, it can also cut bushes. The cutting plane should be approximately parallel to the ground surface. It is not intended for cutting or trimming hedges, bushes, or other vegetation where the cutting plane is not parallel to the ground surface.

Important Technical Specifications

The device operates on a 36-volt battery. For the brushcutter mode (RBC36X26B/RBC36B26B), the no-load speed is 9,000 min⁻¹, and the cutting capacity is 256 mm. The A-weighted sound pressure level is 97.5 dB(A) with an uncertainty of 2.5 dB, and the guaranteed sound power level is 105 dB(A) with an uncertainty of 2.5 dB. The A-weighted sound pressure level is 88.6 dB(A) with an uncertainty of 2.5 dB, and the guaranteed sound power level is 95 dB(A) with an uncertainty of 2.5 dB. The vibration level for the left handle is 1.4 m/s² and for the right handle is 3.2 m/s². The weight without the battery pack is 3.78 kg.

Usage Features

Before operation, users must wear full eye, ear, and head protection, heavy long trousers, boots, and gloves. Loose clothing, short trousers, jewelry, or bare feet are not permitted. Long hair should be secured above shoulder level. The work area must be kept clean and well-lit, free from flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Children and bystanders should be kept at least 15 meters away from the operating area. The product should not be operated when the user is tired, ill, or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medicine. It should only be used in daylight or good artificial light and avoided on wet grass. Users should not walk backward while operating the product. For line trimmer use, ensure the cutting attachment is below waist level. Never use the product with damaged guards or without guards in place. Only the manufacturer’s replacement cutting line should be used; metal replacement lines are forbidden. Hands and feet must be kept away from the cutting means at all times, especially when starting the motor. Be aware that cutting elements continue to rotate after the motor is switched off. Clear debris like small stones, gravel, and other foreign objects from the work area before starting. For brushcutter use, heavy-duty gloves are required when installing or removing blades. Never attempt to touch or stop the blade when it is rotating. Maintain proper control with both hands until the blade has completely stopped. Replace any damaged blade and ensure it is correctly and securely fastened before each use. Only the manufacturer’s replacement Tri-Arc blade should be used, and material over 13 mm in diameter should not be cut. The brushcutter is fitted with a harness, which should be adjusted for comfort and support. Users should identify and practice using the Quick Release mechanism. The blade protector must be used when storing or transporting the product and removed before use. Exercise extreme caution when using the blade, as blade thrust can cause loss of control. For safer cutting, approach weeds from right to left.

Maintenance Features

Only original manufacturer’s replacement parts, accessories, and attachments should be used. Servicing requires extreme care and knowledge and should be performed by a qualified service technician. It is recommended to return the product to the nearest authorized service center for repairs, using only identical replacement parts. Before any maintenance or cleaning work, switch off the product and remove the battery pack. Adjustments and repairs described in the manual can be performed by the user; for other repairs, contact an authorized service agent. For replacement line, use only nylon filament line of the diameter specified in the manual's specification table. After extending new cutter line, always return the product to its normal operating position before starting. After each use, clean the product with a soft dry cloth. Any damaged part should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized service center. Check all nuts, bolts, and screws at frequent intervals for proper tightness. Store the product in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place inaccessible to children, away from corrosive agents. For transportation, secure the product against movement or falling.
