Why my Ryobi RBC30SESNB Trimmer engine will not start?
- MMichael GreenAug 10, 2025
If your Ryobi Trimmer engine won't start, there are several potential causes. First, check for spark. Remove the spark plug, reattach the cap, and lay the plug on the metal cylinder. Pull the starter rope and look for a spark at the plug tip. If there's no spark, try again with a new spark plug. Another reason could be lack of fuel. Push the primer bulb until it fills with fuel. If it doesn't fill, the fuel delivery system may be blocked, and you should contact a servicing dealer. Alternatively, the engine might be flooded. To fix this, set the start lever to the START position, squeeze the trigger, and repeatedly pull the rope until the engine starts. Be aware that it could take many pulls. If the starter rope pulls harder than usual, contact a servicing dealer.
