The petrol lawn mower is intended for outdoor, domestic lawn mowing. Its cutting blade rotates approximately parallel to the ground, with all four wheels touching the ground during operation. It is a pedestrian-controlled, walk-behind mower, designed to be pushed by hand or guided by the operator when using its self-propel feature. The product should never be operated with its wheels off the ground, pulled, or ridden on. It is exclusively for cutting domestic grass lawns and not for any other purpose.
The mower has a 175 cc OHC engine with a nominal power of 2.8 kW and a maximum operating engine speed of 2800 min⁻¹. The no-load speed of the cutting means is also 2800 min⁻¹. Fuel consumption at maximum engine performance is 0.7 kg/h, with a specific fuel consumption of 0.42 g/kW.h. The cutting width is 45 cm (18 in.), and the cutting height is adjustable from 24 mm to 76 mm (0.94 in. - 3 in.). Wheel sizes are 17.8 cm (7 in.) for the front and 20.3 cm (8 in.) for the rear. The mower requires assembly upon delivery. Before use, ensure all controls and safety devices function correctly. The engine should not be started or run in a closed or poorly ventilated area due to the risk of carbon monoxide fumes. To start the engine, firmly push the primer bulb three times (this step is usually unnecessary if the engine has run recently), hold the operator presence control bar against the handle, and pull the starter cord until the engine runs. Do not pull the starter grip more than four times, and release the cord slowly. To stop the engine, release the operator presence control bar. For self-propulsion, hold the operator presence control down while pulling the drive control lever towards the handle; release the drive control lever to stop the wheel drive. For manual propulsion, hold the operator presence control but do not engage the drive control lever. The blade height can be adjusted using the height adjustment lever, with average lawn heights recommended between 38-50 mm in cool months and 50-76 mm in hot months. The handle height is also adjustable for operator preference. When mowing, ensure the lawn is clear of debris, cut one-third or less of the grass height for best performance, reduce walking speed for long grass, and avoid mowing wet grass. Exercise extreme caution on slopes, mowing across the face of slopes, never up and down, and avoid drop-offs or ditches. The grass catcher should be emptied by stopping the mower, lifting the rear discharge door, and removing the catcher by its handle.
Regular maintenance is crucial for product longevity and safety. After releasing the operator presence control, the blade should stop within 3 seconds; if not, the product requires service. Before any maintenance, stop the product, allow the blade to stop, and disconnect the spark plug wire. Use only original manufacturer’s replacement parts. General maintenance includes cleaning plastic parts with clean cloths (avoiding solvents), checking nuts and bolts for tightness, removing grass and leaves from the engine area, and regularly checking the grass catcher for wear. Lubrication is pre-applied for the product's lifetime under normal conditions. The cutting blade should be kept sharp and replaced if bent or damaged, using only manufacturer-approved blades. Before replacing the blade, drain the fuel and disconnect the spark plug wire. The air filter should be cleaned regularly with warm soapy water and lightly oiled; it should be replaced annually. The fuel cap contains a non-serviceable filter and check valve; a leaking or clogged fuel cap should be replaced. Engine oil should be changed every 20 hours of use, while the engine is warm but not hot. Spark plug maintenance involves checking the gap (0.71-0.79 mm) and cleaning or replacing the plug. Drive gear maintenance involves cleaning the wheel assembly before storage, ensuring no lubrication is applied to wheel components. Wheels should be replaced with manufacturer-approved parts. For storage longer than 30 days, use a fuel stabilizer or run the engine until it is out of fuel. Store the product in a well-ventilated, dry, locked-up place, away from corrosive materials and out of reach of children. The handle can be lowered for compact storage. For transportation, secure the product to prevent movement or falling.
