What to do if my Ryobi RLT30CDNB engine will not start?

If your Ryobi Trimmer engine won't start, there are several potential causes. First, check for spark by removing the spark plug, reattaching the cap, and laying it on the metal cylinder. Pull the starter rope and look for a spark at the plug tip. If there's no spark, try a new spark plug. Second, ensure the primer bulb fills with fuel when pushed. If it doesn't, the fuel delivery system may be blocked, and you should contact a servicing dealer. If the bulb fills, the engine might be flooded. Set the start lever to the START position, squeeze the trigger, and repeatedly pull the rope until the engine starts. Note that this may require numerous pulls. Also, if the starter rope pulls harder than when new, contact a servicing dealer.
