Why Ryobi Trimmer engine will not start?
    • J
      Jacqueline WallaceJul 26, 2025
If your Ryobi Trimmer engine won't start, it could be due to no spark, no fuel, or a flooded engine. Try cleaning or replacing the spark plug and resetting the spark plug gap. Push the primer bulb until it's full of fuel; if it doesn't fill, the primary fuel delivery system might be blocked, and you should contact a servicing dealer. If the primer bulb fills, the engine may be flooded. Pull the starter three times with the choke lever at 'RUN'. If it still doesn't start, move the choke lever to 'START' and repeat the normal starting procedure. If it still fails, repeat the procedure with a new spark plug and if the problem persists, contact a servicing dealer.
