What to do if I have a flare-up on my Saber Compact R50SB0412?
    • M
      martin16Aug 17, 2025
If you experience a flare-up on your Saber Compact Grill, it could be due to several reasons. First, grease buildup might be the cause; in this case, clean the burners and the inside of the grill/firebox. Another cause could be excessive fat in the meat. Trim the fat from the meat before grilling. Finally, the cooking temperature could be too high, so adjust the temperature accordingly by lowering it.

What to do if the flames blow out on my Saber Compact Grill?
    • E
      Eric ChenAug 20, 2025
If the flames on your Saber Compact Grill blow out, it could be due to high or gusting winds. Turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height. Another reason could be low LP gas, so refill the LP tank. Also, the excess flow valve might have tripped; refer to the “Sudden drop in gas flow” section for the solution.

Why won't my Saber Compact R50SB0412 burner light with the ignitor?
    • L
      Louis FordAug 22, 2025
If your Saber Compact Grill burner won't light using the ignitor, there are a few potential causes. The wires may be loose or disconnected; reconnect them or replace the electrode/wire assembly. Alternatively, the wires may be shorting (sparking) between the ignitor and electrode, in which case you should replace the ignitor wire/electrode assembly. Finally, a dead battery could be the culprit; replace it with a new alkaline battery.

What to do if there is a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame on my Saber Compact R50SB0412 Grill?
    • M
      Marissa MunozAug 26, 2025
If you notice a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame on your Saber Compact Grill, it could be due to a couple of reasons. You might be out of gas, so check the LP tank. Another possibility is that the excess flow valve has tripped. To resolve this, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. If the flames are still low, turn off the knobs and LP tank valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect the regulator and leak-test, turn on the LP tank valve, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. Alternatively, turn off the knobs and LP tank valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the tank, reconnect it, and retry.

What to do if sparks are present but not at all electrodes and/or not at full strength on my Saber Compact R50SB0412 Grill?
    • F
      Faith BishopSep 5, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes and/or not at full strength on your Saber Compact Grill, the output lead connections may not be connected. Remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes. If sparks are observed other than from burner(s), wire insulation may be damaged, replace wires. It could also be due to a weak battery, so replace the battery with a new alkaline battery. If the electrodes are wet, use a paper towel to remove moisture. Finally, the electrodes may be cracked or broken, in which case you should replace the cracked or broken electrodes.
