The grills’ LP regulator can allow gas to flow at a higher pressure than intended, which can result in a
gas leak and flame burst from the burner knobs, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.

    What to do if there is a grease fire in my Saber Compact Grill?

      If you experience a grease fire or continuous excessive flames, immediately turn OFF the control knobs and the LP cylinder valve. Leave the lid open to allow the flames to die down. After the grill has cooled, clean any food particles and excess grease from inside the firebox area, grease tray, and other surfaces.

      If you see fire coming through the control panel, immediately turn OFF the control knobs and the LP cylinder valve. Leave the lid open to allow the flames to die down. Once the fire is out and the grill is cold, remove the burner and inspect it for spider nests or rust. See Natural Hazard and Cleaning the Burner Assembly pages.

    What to do if gas is leaking between the LP cylinder and regulator connection on my Saber Compact R50CC0612?

      If you notice a gas leak between the LP cylinder and the regulator connection, turn OFF the LP cylinder valve. Then, remove the regulator from the cylinder and visually inspect the rubber seal for any damage. See LP Cylinder Leak Test and Connecting Regulator to the LP Cylinder.

      If gas is leaking from the LP cylinder valve, immediately turn OFF the LP cylinder valve and return the LP cylinder to your gas supplier. This is due to a failure of the cylinder valve from mishandling or mechanical failure.

      There could be several reasons why the burner won't light. Here are some things to check: * **Gas Issues:** Ensure you're trying to light the correct burner, the burner is engaged with the control valve, there are no obstructions in the burner, there is gas flow, there's no vapor lock, and the coupling nut and LP cylinder valve are fully connected. * Refer to instructions on the door panel and in the Use and Care section. Position valves inside of burner tubes. Ensure burner tubes are not obstructed. See cleaning section of Use and Care. Make sure LP cylinder is not empty. If LP cylinder is not empty, refer to 'Sudden drop in Gas Flow.' Turn OFF knobs and disconnect coupling nut from LP cylinder. Wait 30 seconds, reconnect and retry.
