This document describes the SAFE 4SF-4000C four-post car parking lift, an automotive lift designed for vehicle maintenance and parking.
Function Description
The 4SF-4000C is a four-post car parking lift primarily designed for lifting vehicles. Its core function involves a hydraulic system that enables the lift's platforms to move up and down, facilitating vehicle lifting for parking or maintenance. The system comprises a main side column, beams, bridges, a safety mechanism, a hydraulic cylinder, a power unit, and an optional control box.
When the power unit is activated, a gear pump operates to promote the hydraulic oil cylinder piston rod, which in turn drives the mobile cylinder movement via steel wire rope traction between the bridge decks and beams. This synchronized movement allows the lift to ascend and descend. A crucial safety feature is the insurance agency safety lock block, which automatically rises and engages with the column's rack during operation. This mechanism prevents accidental falls in case of hydraulic system failure, ensuring the vehicle remains securely lifted. The lift is designed to raise the vehicle as a whole, not just parts of it, and users must ensure the lifting pads are placed at the vehicle manufacturer's recommended positions to prevent tilting, tipping, or falling.

Usage Features
The lift is intended for indoor use only, unless special outdoor customization is requested. Operators must be professionally trained and have electrical qualifications for electrical connections. Laypersons are prohibited from using the lifting machines.
Safety Precautions for Use:
- Always ensure the tonnage mark on the machine is observed and do not attempt to lift vehicles beyond the rated capacity.
- Read and understand all safety instructions before operation.
- Keep hands and feet away from moving parts, especially during ascent and descent.
- Operators should avoid wearing loose clothing that could get caught in moving parts.
- The lift area must be kept clean and tidy to prevent accidents.
- Before working under a car, ensure the safety lock is engaged.
- During lifting and lowering, no personnel should be under the vehicle.
- Regularly check for damaged parts, machine synchronism, and flexibility of moving parts. Stop use immediately and contact the dealer if abnormalities are found.
- Always lower the machine to its lowest position after operation.
- No unauthorized alterations to control or mechanical parts are permitted.
- During operation, ensure all connections and hoses are secure and free from oil leakage.
- Do not use the lift if its safety device malfunctions.
- Vehicles must be placed with their center of gravity within the supporting range of the device to prevent rollover.
- Staff and operators must maintain a safe position during lift operation.
- When lifting arms are in a high position, the power must be switched off to prevent accidental operation.
- During the trial run, no vehicles should be placed on the lift.
Operation Flow:
Ascending:
- Start.
- Press the up button.
- The motor rotates to drive the piston rod through, pulling the four wire ropes.
- The lift ascends.
Descending:
- Start.
- Press the up button to disengage the safety lock.
- Pull the machine safety handle and hold the drop unload handle on the power unit.
- The lift descends.
- When the machine hits the lower limit switch, a buzzer alarms (optional), and the lift continues to fall to its lowest position.
- Drive away the vehicle.
Mobile Kits:
The lift can be equipped with mobile kits, whose sole function is to move the entire machine. However, these kits must be removed, and the machine secured with expansion screws, before lifting any vehicle.
Maintenance Features
Routine maintenance is crucial for low operating costs and extended machine life.
Daily Pre-operation Check:
- Check hydraulic connections and hoses for leakage.
- Check chain, cable, wiring, and switch connections for damage.
- Check the tightness of expansion bolts.
- Listen for the sound of the occlusion safety lock during operation.
Weekly Maintenance:
- Check the flexibility of action components.
- Re-verify the safety device as described in the safety instructions.
- Check the hydraulic fluid level: raise the trolleys completely, and if they don't reach maximum height, add oil.
- Check the tightness of expansion bolts.
Monthly Maintenance:
- Check the tightening of all screws.
- Check the hydraulic system seal and tighten any loose unions.
- Check the greasing and wear condition of pins, rollers, bushes of the trolley structure, arms, and extensions. Replace damaged parts with original spares if necessary.
- Check the lubrication and wear of the steel cable.
Yearly Maintenance:
- Empty the tank and check the condition of the hydraulic fluid.
- Clear the oil filter.
Lubrication Requirements:
- Steel cable
- Slider inside the column
- All cable axles
- Main insurance
- Cable breakage mechanism
Troubleshooting:
The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as excessive noise, motor not running, motor running but lift not rising, lift descending on its own, slow rise, slow descent, and steel cable not smooth. It advises contacting the manufacturer for assistance if problems cannot be resolved.
