Visually inspect tires for
their appearance and condition.
Also check tire pressure for
proper inflation.
Lock all doors.
Position seats and adjust
head restraints.
Adjust rearview mirror and
outside mirror.
Adjust inside seat belts
and ask all passengers to do
likewise.
Do not place hard or heavy
objects on either the front or
rear parcel shelf to prevent
injury in the event of a sudden
stop.
Check the operation of
warning lights when key is
turned to the ON(3) position.
Tune the radio to the
desired broadcasting station.
PRECAUTIONS WHEN
STARTING AND DRIVING
WARNING:
Do not leave children,
unreliable adults, or pets alone
in your vehicle. They could
accidentally injure themselves
or others through inadvertent
operation of the vehicle. Also,
on hot, sunny days,
temperatures in a closed
vehicle could quickly become
high enough to cause severs or
possibly fatal injuries to people
animals.
EXHAUST GAS (CARBON
MONOXIDE)
WARNING:
Do not breaths exhaust
gases; they contain colorless
and odorless carbon monoxide.
Carbon monoxide is dangerous.
It can cause unconsciousness
or death.
If you suspect that exhaust
fumes are entering the vehicle,
drive with all windows fully
open, and have the vehicle
inspected immediately.
Do not run the engine in
closed spaces such as a
garage.
Do not park the vehicle
with the engine running for any
extended length of time.
It is not advisable to sit for
any length of time in a parked
vehicle with the engine running.
When a vehicle has been
stopped in an open area with its
engine running for any
