● When shifting from the “2H”
to “4H” position while driving,
do not stop shift lever
movement midway. An
incomplete shift from the “2H”
to “4H” position or
disengagement of only one hub
lock may cause a clattering
noise from the auto-lock hubs.
Continued use of the vehicle
with this noise may damage the
hub lock. Shift to 4-wheel drive
to stop the noise; unlock hubs
as described.
● Also, in cold weather, if
difficulty is encountered in
shifting from “2H” to “4H”, it
may be necessary to reduce
speed or stop the vehicle.
