4-4-86 Breakdown of an EEV closure
1. How to diagnose
1) During cooling operation (It must satisfy each of the following conditions for over 20minutes.)
2) During heating operation (It must satisfy each of
the following conditions for over 20minutes.)
When more than 2 indoor units are on Thermo On heating operating.
When average high pr essure is over 25 kg/cm²G
5 minutes after finishing
Safety Start.
Keep indoor units' T(Eva_IN)<T(Room)+3°C and T(Eva_Out)<T(Room)+3°C condition for more than five minutes.
2. How to check
1) Check if the wir e of an electronic expansion
valve is correctly connected to the PCB of indoor unit.
2) Check if the coil of an electronic expansion valve is correctly plugged into the main body.
3) Check if there is
any rust on the surface of the coil of an electr onic expansion valve with the naked eye, and then check the resistance between
each terminal to find any wire breakin
g or short circuit.
4) Press the RESET KEY (K3) of the outdoor unit then see if the same err or occurs.
- In case of closure problem, operate the indoor unit in which the err or has occu
rred.
- In case of opening problem, please do not operate the indoor unit in which the err or has occurred.
5) If ther e is no problem with the above checkup items, replace the
electronic expansion valve of the troubled indoor unit.
- As an electr onic expansion valve replacement is tricky work that requires collecting refrigerant in all systems, pl
ease make sure to check the
above items before replacement.
