This document is a user manual for a Samsung split-type room air conditioner. It provides information on its functions, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Samsung air conditioner is designed to provide cooling, heating (if applicable), dehumidification, and air circulation. It features various operating modes to suit different user preferences and environmental conditions. The remote control allows for convenient adjustment of settings such as temperature, fan speed, and operating mode.

Operating Modes:

  • Auto Mode: The air conditioner automatically selects the optimal operating mode (Cool, Dry, or Fan) based on the room temperature.
  • Cool Mode: Provides cooling to reduce the room temperature.
  • Dry Mode: Reduces humidity in the room.
  • Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling or heating.
  • Turbo Mode: Quickly cools or heats the room to a desired temperature.
  • Sleep Mode: Adjusts the temperature gradually over time to ensure comfortable sleep.

Timer Functions:

  • On Timer: Allows users to set a specific time for the air conditioner to turn on automatically.
  • Off Timer: Allows users to set a specific time for the air conditioner to turn off automatically.

Air Flow Control:

  • Vertical Air Flow Adjustment: The outer air flow blades can be adjusted vertically to direct the air flow upwards or downwards.
  • Horizontal Air Flow Adjustment: The inner air flow blades can be adjusted horizontally to direct the air flow sideways.

Important Technical Specifications

The manual lists various indoor and outdoor unit models with their corresponding power supply requirements.

Power Supply:

  • Models ending in 'E' or 'ED' (e.g., ASE, SCED) typically require 220-240V~, 50Hz.
  • Models ending in 'EF' (e.g., *****EF) typically require 230V~, 50Hz.
  • Models ending in 'B' or 'BD' (e.g., AS*****B, *****BD) typically require 220V~, 60Hz.
  • Models ending in 'C' or 'CD' (e.g., *****C, *****CD) typically require 208-230V~, 60Hz.
  • Models ending in 'D' or 'DD' (e.g., *****D, *****DD) typically require 200-220V~, 50Hz.
  • The last letter of the model name for indoor units indicates the power supply, for instance, "E" in "AS12AAME" indicates 220-240V~, 50Hz.

Temperature and Humidity Ranges:

  • High Temperatures: The automatic protection feature may be triggered, and the air conditioner will stop.
  • Low Temperatures: A water leak or other malfunction may occur if the heat exchanger freezes.
  • High Humidity Levels: Water may condense on and drip from the surface of the indoor unit if used for long periods.
Mode Outdoor Temperature Indoor Temperature Indoor Humidity
Cooling 21°C to 43°C approx. 18°C to 32°C approx. 80% or less
Drying 18°C to 43°C approx. 18°C to 32°C approx. -

If the cooling operation is used at over 33°C (indoor temperature), it does not cool as its full capacity.
