Setting Up the Parental Control
The Parental Control function works in conjunction with DVDs that have been assigned
a rating - which helps you control the types of DVDs that your family watches.
There are up to 8 rating levels on a disc.
With the unit in Stop mode, pressthe MENU button.
Select Setup using UP/DOWN buttons, then RIGHT
or ENTER button.
Select Parental Setup using UP/DOWN buttons,
then press the RIGHT or ENTER button.
Use RIGHT or ENTER to select Yes if you want to
use a password. The Enter Password screen
appears.
Enter your password. The Re-enter Password
screen appears to confirm the password.
Enter your password again.
The Parental Control screen appears.
About the Rating Level ;
The Rating Level will work only when Use Password
is set to Yes. To unlock the player, use UP/DOWN to
select No. Use RIGHT or ENTER to select Rating
level. Press ENTER,

About the Change Password ;

Forgot password • Presspoweron from a cold start with no disc inthe unit. Press the
STOP ( • )and PLAY( I1_1) buttons simuictneousiyon the front panel
for three seconds. The Select Menu Language display w_llappear.
Select the desired _anguagebutton. Press the MENU button on the
remote confrol to se_ct the ParentalMode. The Parental Mode isnow P44
unlocked as indkictedon thedisplay.Press the DOWN button to select
Parental Press ENTER and the Create Password display wilI appear.
You can now set your rating leveland change your password toa new
number.
