isOKjusttoreplacetheusedcartridgewithanewremanufacturedcartridgeandchip.Ifyourprinterhas

BEFOREYOUPROCEED,PLEASENOTETHEFOLLOWING:‐

1.BeforeinstallingthisFirmware,youmustensurethattheprinterisinORIGINALconditionandhasnot

beenmodified,particularlyonthemotherboard.

2.ThecomputermustalreadyhaveinittheDRIVERSforSCX‐4300printerand

scanner

3.Thecomputershouldonlybeconnectedtotheprinter.AllotherUSBdevicesMUSTbedisconnected. 

4.Thereplacementcartridgewithourchipshouldbeinstalledintheprinterandcoverclosed.

5.ThepowertotheprintershouldbeONthroughouttheinstallation.

6.WINDOWSXP/WINDOWS

2000canreadtheCDautomatically.

WINDOWSVISTAneedstobeinADMINISTRATORmodetoruntheCD.

(OpentheCD,RIGHTCLICKon“cdrun”thenselect“runasADMINISTRATOR”)

7ItisrecommendedtoclosetheAntiVirussoftwareonyourcomputeruntiltheinstallationiscomplete

(theAntiVirussoftwareoften

mistakesthedriverforaTyp e32virusandthisisnotcorrect)

8.Starttheprinterandmakesureithasfinisheditsinitialroutine–redlightsON!
