Changing or Deleting a Password
Once a password is created, it can be changed or deleted
anytime. The current password must be entered first, before a
new one is created. If the phone came with a password already
installed, usually it is the last four digits of your social security
number, or the last four digits of the telephone number
assigned to the phone.
Change or Delete a Password
1. From the Security screen, tap the “Password” box.
2. Enter the current password in the space provided.
3. Tap “OK”.
4. To change the password, enter a new password and tap
“OK”.
5. To delete a password, Tap the “Delete” button.
Recovering a Lost Password
If you forget the password of your phone, it can be reset using
the Lost Password button. Resetting the password will delete all
the entries and files marked private in all applications. If you
synchronize with your desktop computer prior to resetting the
password, the entries will be restored to your phone again
during the next HotSync operation.
Note: The password will be reset to the last four digits of your
phone number.
