XDR/BLC
XDR or BLC works in CAMERAmode.
Back lighting exists when the subject is darker than the background:
- The subject is placed in front of a window.
- The person to be shot is wearing white or
shiny clothes and is placed against a
bright background; the person’s face is
too dark to distinguish their features.
- The subject is in the outdoors and the
background is overcast.
- The light sources are too bright.
- The subject is against a snowy back-
ground.
1. Set power switch to CAMERAmode and LOCK/STANDBY switch to
STANDBY mode.
2. Press XDR/BLC button.
■ Normal - XDR - BLC - Normal (VP-M54)
■ Normal - BLC - Normal (VP-M50/M51/M51B/
M 5 2 / M 5 3 )
■ XDR enhances the subject and background.
■ BLC enhances only the subject.
Note: If you use PROGRAM AE instead of AUTO mode, the XDR/BLC
does not work.
4. Turn MF dial up or down until the object is focused.
5. You can get a sharp picture after zooming out.
6. To return to AF(Auto Focus), press MF button
again.

Gegenlicht ausgleichen
Die Gegenlichtfunktion (XDR/BLC) steht nur im CAMERA-Modus
(Aufnahme/Aufnahme-Bereitschaft) zur Verfügung.
Eine Gegenlichtaufnahme liegt vor, wenn das
Motiv dunkler als der Hintergrund ist:
- Das Motiv befindet sich vor einer
Glasscheibe.
- Die aufzunehmende Person trägt weiße oder
glänzende Kleidung und befindet sich vor
einem hellen Hintergrund; das Gesicht der
Person ist zu dunkel, um Gesichtszüge zu
erkennen.
- Das Motiv befindet sich im Freien vor einem
bedeckten Himmel.
- Die Beleuchtung ist zu stark.
- Das Motiv befindet sich vor einem verschneit-
en Hintergrund.
1. Stellen Sie den Schalter für den Betriebsmodus auf CAMERA und
den LOCK/STANDBY-Schalter auf STANDBY.
2. Drücken Sie - je nach Modell - die Taste XDR bzw.
BLC, um eine andere Einstellung aufzurufen.
■ Normal - XDR - BLC - Normal (VP-M54)
■ Normal - BLC - Normal (VP-M50/M51/M51B/
M52/ M53)
■ XDR: verbesserte Abbildung von Motiv und
Hintergrund.
■ BLC: verbesserte Abbildung des Motivs.
Hinweis: Die Gegenlichtfunktion (XDR/BLC) steht nur beim
Belichtungsprogramm AUTO zur Verfügung.
4. Stellen Sie den Fokus mit dem manuellen
Einstellrad FAR/NEAR ein.
5. Wenn Sie auszoomen, erhalten Sie ein scharfes
Bild.
6. Um zur automatischen Fokuseinstellung (AF)
zurückzukehren, drücken Sie nochmals die Taste
MF/AF.
