COMPONENT CHECOUT PROCEDURE RESULT
HIGH-VOLTAGE
CAPACITOR
Including internal
beeder resistor
Measure the resistance: Across two terminals with
an ohm-meter on highest scale.
Normal reading:
Momentarily indicates several ohms,
and gradually to 10 meg-ohms
from bigining.
HIGH-VOLTAGE
DIODE
Normal reading:
Indicate about midddle position in
one dirction (forward) and infinie
ohms in the reverse direction,
using ohm meter with 9 V battery.
NOTE
- Some digital meter may shows more
than 0 ohms or inifinite ohms even in
a forward direction because the low
measuring voltage of the meter does
not allow the meter to pass through
the high voltage. Use an ohm meter
with a 9 V battery.
Abnormal reading:
Indicate continuity or infinite ohm in
both directions.

FUSE DIODE
Measure the resistance: Across two terminals
with an ohm-meter on highest scale.
Measure the resitance: Across two terminals
with an ohm-meter on highest scale.
Normal reading:
Indicate infinite ohms in both
directions.
Abnormal reading:
Indicate continuity in both directions
or continity in one direction and
infinite ohms in reversed direction.
