Inserting the batteries
Open the battery compartment lid, and insert two AA 1.5
volt batteries (sold separately), respecting the (+) and (—)
polarity indicated inside the battery compartment.
Close the battery compartment lid.
Using the remote control
The remote control can be used within a range of 5m
(16 ft) from the front of the sensor window. If the range
seems to decrease or the remote control does not
function, replace the remote control batteries.
1 Press on the remote control sensor to expose it. The
remote control sensor on the camcorder can then be
turned to face any direction. Press it again to conceal it
when not using the remote control.
Direct the remote control toward the remote control
sensor window, press the desired buttons to operate
the camcorder.
During recording, the recording indicator (A) will light.
It will flash during a recording pause.
p= Note: Remote control operation is not possible if:
@ a strong light or sunlight is directed at the remote
control sensor,
@ there is an obstacle between the remote control unit
and the camcorder.
