Designation Description
1 Weight units
2 Tare function:
Press here to tare the weight
of any container so that the
readout shows the net weight
of samples.
3 Symbol indicating that a GLP-
compliant printout is being
generated
4 Symbol indicating that a
printout is being generated
5 Symbol indicating data in
memory, when using the 
net-total formulation program
6 Data output function:
Press this key to send
displayed values over the
built-in data interface to a
DataPrint printer or a PC. 
7 Function key:
Starts an application program 
8 Symbol indicating the active
program
9 Press here to start calibration/
adjustment
Designation Description
10 Delete (Clear Function)
This key is generally used to
interrupt/cancel functions; 
for example:
– to end an application
program 
– to interrupt calibration/
adjustment routines
11 On/Off key:
Switches the display on/off.  
(The balance/scale may remain
in standby mode, depending
on the settings.)
12 Symbol indicating that the cal-
ibration/adjustment 
function is active
13 Symbol indicating that the
animal weighing program 
is active, with 
automatic-start function
14 Symbol indicating stand-by
mode or zero range
