Due to the possibility of detailed definition how to inform on each alarm, the control
panel CA-64 allows to organise an additional monitoring, based on the informing
function, that operates simultanously with the basic monitoring. The way of defining
the rules of informing on alarms for zones is shown in Figure 10. The rules of
informing on other alarms are programmed in the same way. Messaging may also
include information on power supply failure.
NOTE:
When informing on alarm, the control panel performs a cycle of phone calls
dialling all specific phone numbers in sequence. The numbers, which confirmed
alarm message receipt with a code, are not dialled any more. Other phone numbers
are informed in the next cycle according to the defined number of repetitions.
Answering a phone call
The control panel CA-64 is provided with the function of answering external phone
calls, called in the same way as when starting programming by telephone (double
calling after a defined number of “rings” or calling after a number of rings received
and receipt blockade of the next phone call). Only the users, who are assigned with a
special “telephone” code may have access to this function.
When the control panel answers incoming phone call, it generates the confirmation
signal (three short beeps) and waits for the user code. Using the telephone set
keypad (of the telephone with which he called the control panel), the user types the
code in the DTMF tone system. The correct code receipt is confirmed with four short
beeps and one long beep, and activates function of informing on partition statuses.
By typing two-digit partition number, the user obtains an information whether the
partition is armed and whether an alarm occurred in that partition (three short beeps
– the partition is disarmed, four short beeps and one long beep - the partition is
armed). Questions about the statues in partitions, to which the user has no access,
are rejected (two long beeps).
