When the memory power supply is disconnected, when the control panel power
supply from backup battery 13.6V is switched off, causes clearing of settings. Storing
data in FLASH memory makes clearing of settings impossible and allows the control
panel to restore them when error is detected.
NOTE:
RAM memory errors should not occur in a correctly configured and properly
powered system.
Control panel programming
Most convenient way of control panel programming is to program it by means of the
computer via serial port RS-232. The program needed for that, DLOAD64.EXE, is
delivered together with the control panel. Connect the control panel with computer as
shown in Figure 24. Data exchange is carried out after download function is
activated. This function is called by service (installer) from user menu. If restart of
control panel settings has already been made (factory settings), proceed as follows:
1. Open service access:
a) type administrator code and press  (press 1111),
b) select the position “Service access” from the list and enter this function
(key # or Ö),
c) specify service access time (in hours) and confirm it with key #
2. Type service code and press  (press 12345),
3. Select the position “Downloading” from the list and press key # or Ö.
4. Position “Start DWNL-RS” appears on the display - press key # or Ö.
NOTES:
• The control panel remains in downloading function until it receives command
“Terminate communication” from the computer (last position of “Communication”
menu) or until it exits the function due to command “End of DWNL-RS”. The last
command appears in user function menu in “Downloading” position when function
menu is called by the service.
• After the DLOAD64 program is started in the computer connected to the control
panel, communication is started automatically. The window, informing on which
system is communicated with, appears on the screen.
Downloading function starts automatically when control panel is connected via
RS-232 to the computer, in which DLOAD64 is started, then, the function switches on
the control panel power supply.
NOTE:
To protect data, CA-64 allows blocking of downloading function “with the use
of pins”. Service mode function “DWNL-RS block” (function in „TS
configuration” entry) is used for that.
