FireplaceConstruction
This wood heater must be installed in a full
masonry  fireplace, whichnon-combustible
has been carefully inspected for cracks or
deterioration.Thechimneyshouldbecleaned
priortoinstallation.
You installafluetheentirelengthofthemust
chimney.Thiswillhelpyourheaterperformto
itsfullcapabilities.Itisalsoeasiertoclean.
If the appliance is to be installed into a
combustiblewall,thenitmustbefittedwitha
MaxiheatZeroClearanceBox.Pleasereferto

ClearancestoCombustibles
The diagram below shows the minimum
clearances (in millimetres) to combustible
materials.
Theremustbenotlessthan1270mmbetween
thetopof thehearthto theundersideofthe
combustiblemantlepiece.Thisisequivalentto
700 mm above the top of the heater mantle
shelf.
The combustible surround columns must be
notlessthan1000mmapart.

HearthConstruction
Donot build the hearth over thefrontof the
heater as it will prevent access to the fan
throughfrontbottomairinletcover.
The diagram below shows the minimum
dimensions(inmillimetres)forthehearth.
Thehearthshallconsistofnolessthan30mm
thickcompressedfibrecementsheetwitha15
mm air gap underneath. The cement sheet
shall have thermal conductivity not greater
than0.33W/m°K.Theairgapmustprovidea
minimumof3,750mm²oneachside(eg.two
slotsof125mmx15mmventilationoneither
side).
